Work preparation

Work preparation encompasses all measures required for manufacturing readiness and also monitors operational processes. This department is also responsible for creating bills of materials, planning requirements, scheduling, and ensuring the provision of materials, machinery, and personnel. A link between design and manufacturing.

CNC turning shop

At Christian Diener GmbH, CNC turning operations produce high-precision components that serve as essential elements in surgical instruments. We specialize in manufacturing highly intricate turned components that fulfill the most demanding requirements for precision and quality in medical applications. Whether delicate joints, tiny screws, or custom connection elements—our CNC turning shop stands for uncompromising quality.

CNC milling shop

Our dedicated milling experts are the driving force behind our product development. This is where precision components for life-saving medical devices are manufactured. Precision is our credo: our specialists are true masters in producing components with microscopic accuracy. We continuously invest in the latest milling technologies to ensure our products remain at the forefront of medical innovation.

Surface treatment

Following component manufacturing, surface treatment is carried out. This includes electropolishing, sandblasting, and finishing processes such as matting, brushing, or polishing. Depending on the material properties or development stage, different surface treatments are applied—each yielding distinct results. Individual laser marking of instruments is also part of our service portfolio.

Assembly

The assembly department at Christian Diener GmbH is the heart of our operations—where the vision of innovation meets the demands of patient care. The assembly of surgical mechanics requires the highest level of precision. Each component must be precisely positioned and secured to ensure the correct functionality of the instrument. Even the smallest deviations can have serious consequences.

Quality assurance

At Christian Diener GmbH in Tuttlingen, we rely not only on cutting-edge technologies but also place great emphasis on quality control and assurance. Each instrument undergoes rigorous testing procedures to ensure the highest standards and meet the needs of surgeons. Our seamless quality assurance framework guarantees full compliance with all defined parameters—ensuring safety, precision, and reliability for every medical device we produce.

Storage and shipping

The storage and shipping departments at Christian Diener ensure that our precisely manufactured surgical instruments and components are delivered safely, swiftly, and reliably to customers around the world. From meticulous storage to on-time shipping—we uphold the highest standards in organization and quality assurance.

Manufacturing without shortcuts

In-house production steps for superior quality

In addition to our core competencies in medical technology, we offer supplementary production steps directly in-house. While many companies outsource certain manufacturing steps to external service providers, we rely on integrated production. This enables us to ensure superior quality, maximum precision, and seamless control throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Our in-house manufacturing includes electropolishing as well as laser and TIG welding. Thanks to these additional production steps, we can respond flexibly to individual customer requirements, enable shorter delivery times, and ensure consistently high product quality.

Laser welding

As part of our in-house manufacturing, we offer laser welding—a highly precise process that ensures fine, durable, and clean weld joints. Compared to conventional welding techniques, laser welding enables a minimal heat-affected zone—reducing distortion and material alterations.

TIG welding

In our manufacturing, we also utilize TIG welding—a process particularly suited for producing high-quality, precise, and clean weld seams. Controlled heat input and spatter-free welding result in extremely stable and visually flawless joints—ideal for meeting the high demands of medical technology.

Electropolishing

In our production facility, we offer electropolishing directly in-house—a process that ensures a smooth, pore-free, and corrosion-resistant surface. Electropolishing reduces surface roughness, enhances cleanability, and increases the durability of our components—a decisive advantage for medical technology applications.
