Christian Diener GmbH specializes in the manufacture of customized surgical instruments and custom-made products, primarily in the fields of orthopedics and spinal surgery. Carolin Baur
With Carolin Baur, Helmut Diener's eldest daughter, the fourth generation of the Diener family joins the company's management team; her husband Michael Baur took over as technical director in 2002.

Anniversary

CNC manufacturing
CNC technology is on the rise. Diener manufactures a wide range of custom-made items for bone surgery as a contract manufacturer.

Specialized instruments
Christian Diener GmbH is thriving and moved into its new 1,200 square meter building on Rudolf-Diesel-Straße; during this period, the focus of production shifted from standard to specialized instruments.

Helmut Diener
Three years after the death of his father Otto Diener, Helmut Diener takes over the Tuttlingen-based company.
1954
Surgical instruments
Christian Diener GmbH is the first company in Europe to develop surgical instruments made from durable WIDIA carbide. Demand is so high that a WIDIA line of needle holders, tweezers, and forceps was launched under the name DIENER-SPEZIAL.
1945
Start of production
With only three employees, surgical instruments are once again being produced after a temporary closure due to the war.
1938
Otto and Max Diener
Following the death of his father, Christian Diener's son Otto Diener took over commercial management, while his brother Max Diener took charge of production.
1927
BMW engine
Christian Diener met the designer Eberwein, who has developed a new type of BMW engine. Mr. Eberwein convinced Christian Diener to join him in founding a second company under the name Eberwein & Diener Motorenbau GmbH.
1900
Foundation
Christian Diener founded the company of the same name in Tuttlingen, Swabia, specializing in the production of instruments for urology and ENT medicine.
